Professor of Missions and Biblical Christianity
Lucent University
Born and raised in South Africa, Dr. Sieberhagen completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree and joined his family's retail business. He later taught Business and Accounting on the Commerce faculty at Rhodes University.
Following a clear calling to reach the nations, he pursued an M.Div. in International Church Planting at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His specific burden for unreached populations led him and his family to serve overseas in a restricted-access area.
His doctoral studies through the University of South Africa focused on the critical intersection of contextualization and globalization as they relate to starting churches among unreached people groups.
Passionate about equipping others to complete the task of making Christ known among unreached people groups. He brings a uniquely global perspective — from the boardroom in South Africa to the mission field — to his teaching at Lucent University.
Focus: Contextualization and globalization in relation to starting churches among the unreached.
