DONATE COMPUTERS AND OTHER EQUIPMENT

We welcome the donation of Computer, Desktops, Notebooks, Tablets, Smartphones, Computer Monitors, Video or Camera Equipment, Projection Equipment, Game Consoles, Servers, and Routers and Switches.

DONATE EQUIPMENT FOR NONPROFITS

You might find someone else to whom you can donate your old computer. Nonprofit organizations are good choices, mainly because they often have to use their funding for priorities other than purchasing new technology. But that's where the ten-year limit comes in.

YOUR EQUIPMENT DONATION IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE

Your computer equipment donation is tax deductible and will be used to help Lucent University to expand the Kingdom. Donated equipments will be used internally, sent to other countries for study centers or reverted in money to pay for student's tuitions that can't afford it.

SCHEDULE EQUIPMENT DONATION PICKUP

Donating your used or new computer, laptop, tablet, networking equipment, surplus computers or other electronic gadget is simple.

CLEANING DATA

Different operating systems have different ways to clear user data. Check below the corresponding information for the operating system of the device that you are donating.

Restore Windows

Windows 10 has an automated feature called Reset this PC, which will restore it to factory settings, clearing all users data. in earlier versions, user data can be easily deleted by deleting users accounts along with user data.

Restore Mac OS X

Before cleaning a Mac OS X device, you need to logout from all Apple services (iCloud, iTunes, iMessage, etc) on Mac OS and then delete all users. You might also want to reinstall MacOS to clear everything and do a proper factory reset.

Windows 10 can be restored to factory settings by using the Reset this PC feature.
The steps are:

  • Start Windows 10
  • Open the Start Menu, type Reset this PC and press Enter
  • On the Recovery screen, click on the Get started button on the right side under Reset this PC
  • If prompted to Insert Media, you will need to insert your Windows 10 installation media to continue
  • Click on Remove everything
  • If your PC has more than one drive (partition) on the Windows 10 disk, then select to remove all files (delete) from only the Windows drive or from all drives. (see screenshots below)
  • Click on either Just remove my files or Fully clean the drive for how you want to clean your drive.
  • Click on Reset to begin.
  • To refresh Windows 8, follow these steps:

  • Start Windows 8
  • Go to Settings either by swiping in from the right edge of the screen or by pointing the mouse in the upper-right corner of the screen
  • Click Change PC Settings
  • Click Update and recovery
  • Click Recovery
  • At the Refresh your PC without affecting your files, click Get started
  • Follow the instructions on the screen
  • Begin your factory reset by restarting your computer. During startup, hold down the Shift + Option + Command + R keys until the Apple logo appears. This will reinstall the operating system that came with your Mac. (Alternatively, you can hold Command + R to reinstall the latest MacOS installed on your Mac or Option + Command + R to upgrade to the latest version of the OS compatible with your computer.)
  • Once you've done that, the Utilities window will pop up in the middle of your screen. Open the Disk Utility and erase your built-in hard disk. Make sure to select the disk, not the volume name listed beneath it. Then select MacOS Extended (Journaled) format and quit Disk Utility when the process ends.
  • To finish the reset, navigate back to the Utilities window and choose Reinstall MacOS (or OSX) to reinstall the original operating system.
  • After the reinstall, the Mac will begin the setup process.
